Morning issue · weekdays 8:10 ET

Three stocks, before the open, and the last times like this.

Every weekday morning: the three stocks the news is about, what each company does, why the news does or doesn't matter, and what happened every time a stock was in the same spot before.

In each issue

  • The three names. Picked from the overnight news by how many separate stories name the company and how big its gap is for that stock, then by whether the news is actually about the company.
  • The company and the news. What the business is, the numbers its investors watch, and a straight read on whether this news is new, material, or noise.
  • The last times like this. Every past gap in the same situation: same direction, similar size for that stock, earnings or not, market moving the same way. How often it filled, how often it kept going, and the range it closed in. From about 308,000 US stock gaps since February 2024.
  • The ten closest charts from those past days, drawn from the open, so you can see the paths rather than a single average.

What it isn't

No buy or sell calls and no price targets. The issue tells you how big these moves have run and how often they reversed; the trade is yours. Every number is computed from market data; an AI writes only the company and news notes.
