Why young listings are wider than the band says
Deep dive D6 (2026-09-18): on 403 seasoned names the 1h-ranked band held 78% of 5-session outcomes, within a point of the daily-ranked band.
On 210 listings too young to have a daily-chart vector, the same band held only 58%: 71% on the 119 young common stocks and 42% on the 85 young leveraged and crypto funds.
The analogs for a young listing come from seasoned companies that move less, so the band is roughly ten points too narrow. Every young-listing wall says so; funds get no wall at all.
Try it: a recent IPO's wall next to a seasoned name's, same horizon.
